Rent: Seasons tree

update because my journal needs updating

Whoops! I have not posted in a loooooooooong time. My bad. I have been twittering instead. I am KelseyA there, should you wish to follow me and are not already doing so.

* Dr. Who special - always good to see David Tennant on my computer, but I was kind of meh on the episode itself. Especially as a special. Specials should be, you know, SPECIAL.

* My Easter was pretty good, though my family stuck around for waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. It was nice seeing everyone, but, good lord nine straight hours is too much.

* I don't know what to do about Amazonfail at this point except stop buying stuff there. Does anyone have a favorite alternative? (Especially one that sells used books/dvds/etc?)

* The Disco + Zack twitters continue to bring me much glee and canon, though I think my favorite twitterers right now are Siska and Felicia Day.

* In related Disco opinions: Brendon looked awesome in Capetown, I can't be the only one who wants to tug on his tie and do dirtywrong things to him, right? ...I thought not. Also Jon Walker needs to bathe, trim his beard and get a haircut. You are not hiding what you are trying to hide, baby. Ryan continues to delight and traumatize in near 50/50 amounts. ilhim.

* I will be 25 years old in about six hours. Not sure how I feel about that, but, statement of fact.

* I am vaguely considering heading to London for a couple of weeks in the fall, possibly with sidetrips into Scotland and maybe the continent. We shall see, but, cheap airfare and waaaaaaaaaaaant.

Dead on the Oregon Trail

Colds are just minor irritations until you actually have one. Ick. (In my defense, this is actually a pretty nasty one, not just a drippy nose. I'm a big baby, but not THAT big a baby.) My phone's on silent and I'm staying off AIM/Googletalk until I have enough energy to be upright for more than an hour at a time, so if you want me, e-mail. I miss you lots!

I haven't even had the energy to be online in two days, I'm pretty much only here because I've run out of Robin Hood commentaries to watch. ...Speaking of which, I mainlined Merlin last week. I enjoyed it overall, but Robin Hood is definitely still my 21st-century-retelling-of-an-English-hero drug of choice. Though a Robin Hood/Merlin crossover episode (I don't know how, on these shows silly things like history and timelines are irrelevant) would be AMAZING.

Other things I wish to comment on:

* I did not think I'd be okay with the casting of a new Doctor. As much as Eccleston's awesome, Tennant is my doctor, and, yeah. But, the new kid is adorable and also reminds me of Mikey Way. I'm excited for him!

* Pete's latest post. Precious and awesome and also *facepalm* worthy. Oh, Pete.

* Ryan's latest post. ... ... ... Oh, baby, I am so deeply fond of you and your little precious self these days. I just want to be your big sister and pat you on the head and make cooing noises at you a lot. And mock you sometimes, too. Because you are you and I am me.

...I think that is all the semi-recent/relevant stuff I have anything to say about. And now it is time to consider another nap.

bullet points

* Heh. So I totally just signed on to AIM to add SNs to my buddylist and was all "...why are people still up? It's *late*!" and then realized it's 11.45. I'm old. (Also supposed to be in bed fixing my migraine. But, there was a new Doctor Who.)

* Re. Doctor Who: aklfd;hgwejrghdsfoghadklfg. I love that show so hard right now. SO HARD. *more keymashing*. Though I do wish STC would put up Confidential at around the same time, and not, you know, two days later.

I totally did not mean to become one of those obsessive Confidential watchers at *all*, but, it's *more* and it makes it *last*. And David Tennant's not!Doctor voice... So, yeah. Confidential. If STC ever puts it up.

* Today I went shopping at Old Navy and didn't buy anything. *Gasp*. But it was a sale and there were 900,000,000 people there and the sales weren't even that good AND I don't actually have any money, so. I went to Panera for lunch instead.

And then tonight we had my grandma's death day party. It's been two years, so we invited my grandpa over for salmon patties and talked and it was surprisingly nice and not awful.

Plus I got to talk to/flail with [info]wordsaremyfaith for a couple hours which is always made of win.

* My tattoo is peeling! And it's pretty underneath! I cannot wait for it to be healed so I can do fun things like go swimming and showing it off. I am also very ready to stop putting on lotion every few hours.

* If you have not been loved on but would like to be, I am still willing.

Dr. Who!!! *flail*

Dr. Who!!! *flail* Am dying of waiting for next week!

*

In other news, took off for the weekend, no internet, but yes Warped Tour. Will recap later.

Have not checked my flist just yet. Was worried about getting spoiled for Doctor Who.

Television is serious business, yo.

TV-related things

Thing 1: I just finished the first season of Dexter. Where can I find season two eps? Like, immediately?

Thing 2: I also watched this week's Torchwood. And I have a rant or two. They're related. Rant (spoilery through the last episode) )
*sigh* This is why I should get to have script approval on everything ever.

Thing 2-and-a-half: I've whined before, but, WHY is it SO HARD to stay unspoiled for Doctor Who? I DON'T WANT TO KNOW! And yes, I know e8fdgjk8S0*&^&*)Tskljhfdkl because it is impossible not to. And on the one hand I say \o/ and on the other /o\ because I know it and it would have been SO COOL to just see it happening and not anticipate it. *sigh sigh*

My life is hard. I watch a lot of tv.

* Um. I keep forgetting that I actually have to sign on to AIM these days. So if it's like, 4pm - 2 am weekdays 12pm - 2 am weekdays and you'd like to talk to me, you should probably comment or e-mail me or in some other way poke. Because I'm a spaz.
(I'm not turning on AIM now because I would just put up an away message and wander off, but, anyway.)

* I had a good walk. It rained yesterday, so the weather here's still a little bit cool, in that weird place where I debated grabbing a light jacket but then didn't and therefore kept up a pretty good pace to be comfortable. It was refreshing. Not the most riveting or thought provoking of walks and my music wasn't really holding my attention (I still don't know how I feel about Santi, that makes me sad), but it wasn't PAINFUL the way some walks are. I had a pretty good daydream.

Someone could totally write me an AU that leads to Panic! and Pete Wentz sitting around a campfire playing acoustic guitars.

* Doctor Who! I haven't love-loved the last two episodes, but I do love bitter angry Doctor. It's like 9 only with David Tennant adorableness! And, dude, so much love to TPTB for not trying to pretend Rose never happened, SO MUCH love. It helps me like Martha more, though I had a few issues with her this week which I won't go into as I don't want to spoil anyone and I'm too lazy to do a cut.

* Now, shower, dinner (I am thinking of mac 'n cheese, because, yep, still 6), and fic-reading.
Someone go to the L.A. Displace Me with me! Please?

Yeah, okay, this is me spamming, but, Doctor Who! *flails*

So much is so awesome about this episode. But my annoying inner English Lit geek kept going "hold on, wait, that's not right". I think I've decided that Who-fact trumps reality-fact. I'm all excited for :::cast spoiler that everyone knows about::: later in the season that every preview disappoints me. I want asdklhagl;dhgj RIGHT NOW. Because adflgkadfkgj is awesome.

...Right, I could have been not-lazy and used LJ cuts and actually made sense there, but, ehh.

Doctor Who! *flails*

And now I have a shower to take, 3 new fics to read, and possibly some writing to do. I promise I will not post again tonight.

ETA: this would really bug me more, because, WTF Pete? You're better than her it this. But. But. Ben and Adam, hanging out together and going to clubs. It makes me go 'awwwwwwwww' and my stomach flip a little and I can't decide if it's better if they are buddies or boyfriends. I'm honestly torn a little.
So, you are off the hook this time Peter Wentz, by virtue of the presence of Benjamin Mackenzie and Adam Brody. And, oh. BMac/Pete/Brody. *brain explodes a little*. WOW.
