Poetry & Prozac

I don't want to say I'm going on hiatus, because I don't think that's what this is. It's just, lately, when I come home, I don't want to turn on my computer. Not first thing, sometimes not at all.

Last night instead of hitting up LJ, I watched Nutcracker: The Motion Picture on cable with my mother. I LOVED that movie when I was a kid, year-round and obsessively, as I do. I remembered a lot more of it than I thought, and now I'm wondering what part it played in my formation.

I have certain commitments that involve me being online at least in part, but, my presence is not motivated by the compelling desire to be here.

I still love everyone on my flist, and I'm invested in bandom, and the holidays aren't being super super busy or anything, I'd just, mostly rather be elsewhere.

I'm currently downloading FAD, text or e-mail if anything interesting happens (or if you miss me/want to say hi - most of my contact stuff is in my user info), I'll probably be back tomorrow now that I'm jinxing myself by posting.

I will also probably be continuing to update twitter via text.

In case anyone's curious, I'm not planning on being at either the L.A. or San Diego FOB shows, they are just epically not convenient. There's a very slim possibility of my winding up at the San Diego show, but don't hold any breaths, especially as I am not sure how I'd get there.

So today I burnt my knuckle while attempting to make French Toast. And then it was BAD French Toast. There's a whole long story, but suffice to say, this stays away from food_porn (which, oh my god, new favorite thing EVER). There's a blister on my knuckle now, whine. And I think I'm sticking to t.v. dinners from now on. If my seafood Udon turns out badly.

I want to wriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite, but no inspiration.

Aaand, I am not in any of the fandoms where people are not real, but I am real and here are people who can confirm that:

* bellechantuse7,dhamians_mom, girthygrizelda, lechatfier, rain_queen, and sparly are all real life friends. Though I haven't seen some of them in forEVER. In the last six months I've seen sparly most recently, followed by girthygrizelda, followed by bellechantuse7. Psst, any of you (besides sparly and girthygrizelda because they are stuck with me) want to do something around Christmas? I will be home from Dec. 12 - Jan. 1.
* blkqueenphoenix who is one of my favorite people ever and we met online and met for real the very first time in front of a movie theater. I'm not sure there are pictures of us together but there are for sure pictures of us taken by each other because that is just how much sense we make.
* court_jesster, singingchipmunk, and I once spent a weekend being musical fangirls. And an afternoon before that doing the same at a sketchy pizza place on Hollywood Blvd which sparly was a witness to. Photographs of us together do exist but I am not going to link to them because I look bad.
* sparkly_oats and I have talked on the phone for hours a few times but not in a while. *misses her Mona*
* the_rocklobster and I once had a sleepover and horror(ish) movies and Apple Martinis. I don't think there are pictures of that either...

Wow, I have met 11 of my 75 mutual friends. And really, 6 of those sort of don't count because I knew them first. Anyway, who wants to meet up? Next time you're in L.A. (or Southern California at large)...

Christ I'm bored.

It's gonna be a really long "summer" at this rate. Especially since none of the freaking moderated comms I've joined have approved me yet. Downloading Queer As Folk was supposed to be keeping me occupied, but, no, the most interesting thing I've done all day was watched Days of Our Lives with my mom.

There's plenty of stuff I COULD be doing, but I'm not because. Because. There's no background noise for one thing. And for another my "project" involves me signing in and out of LJ which makes being amused by my flist a little difficult.

Bored, bored, bored. I'm even about to risk fanfiction.net for amusement because I'm sick of moderated communities.

Spamming me wouldn't suck.
