Poetry & Prozac

So I'm really bored, having given up on the whole paper thing. And I'm looking for fic outside of my usual. Or really just stuff I haven't read. (Rec me! Anything!). So I'm stupidly over at ff.net. And, wow, some of the summaries, just wow. Are the people who post there all on drugs?

Because, I mean, I'm looking at a Prison Break/One Tree Hill crossover. I'm all about the wacky crossovers, but, just, wow, that does not even begin to make any sense. At all.

Speaking of wacky crossovers that I at least realize would be awful, I came up with a new The Office/Queer As Folk one, since as of the extended Office 307 we know Pam is in art school. And do you know who her teacher totally, totally is? Justin. TOTALLY. Also speaking of Justin and Queer As Folk, the other night while shopping I was petting men's cashmere scarves and decided Brian would approve. I don't know why I am sharing this, but, yes, I want a men's cashmere scarf for Christmas now.

I wish my brain didn't automatically put together crossovers.

Like how both Logan (Veronica Mars) and the Cohen's (The O.C.) drive Range Rovers and Weevil (Veronica Mars) just got out of Chino State Prison (The O.C.). I still maintain that a very decent O.C./Veronica Mars crossover could be put together given the time and inclination.

BUT then there are the spectacularly BAD crossover ideas, like how Logan (Veronica Mars), Anna (The O.C.), Brian (Queer As Folk), and Roger (Rent) are cousins because Lynn Lester (Veronica Mars) has three older sisters, Joan (Kinney Queer As Folk), Patricia (Stern The O.C.) and ??? (Davis - I'm leaning towards Julie as an homage Rent) and she left Pittsburg when she was 18 to move to Hollywood and be a star. I think it must have been really fun growing up in the Lester home considering both Joan and Lynn are alcoholics who married abusive men.

My latest bad idea involves how I'm sure Kinnetik (Queer As Folk) needs to buy lots of paper and Scranton (The Office) isn't that far from Pittsburg (Queer As Folk). Try to picture Brian (Queer As Folk) and Jim (The Office) having a conversation. Just try.

And this is why my fic writing ability is non-existent at the moment. Because I have terrible ideas. Terrible, terrible.
